Bisexual Kandi Burruss Celebrates Gay Event Month

Kandi Burruss celebrated the first day of Gay Pride month by donning a rainbow outfit complete with rainbow sandals, red extensions, and a rainbow parasol.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta luminary, who confessed to having sexual preferences for both women and men, shared photos of her colorful getup on Instagram on Tuesday, June 1.

The year-old mother-of-three captioned the photos: &#;Live your life to the fullest! #HappyPrideMonth.&#;

In , Kandi opened up about being bisexual:

&#;I&#;ve said on Housewives before, I have said on Kandi Koated Nights before, yes I&#;ve had a girl trial. It&#;s not a secret, but I&#;m very happily married with my husband and I am not a lesbian waiting to come out of the closet.&#;

In a RHOA episode during season 8, Kandi became agitated when castmate Porsha Williams suggested she was a closeted lesbian.

&#;She was mad about something else that she thought I said on the show,&#; Kandi said.

&#;So I guess she shaded me about that and her shade was saying that I was quote unquote

The speculation around Kandi Burruss' sex life reached an all-time high during The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 8 glamping trip. Marlo Hampton flat-out asked her about the rumor she's had relationships with women, which had originally been insinuated by Porsha Williams. The conversation around the topic fast escalated — and now, Kandi is clarifying her side of the story to The Daily Dish.

If you somehow haven't heard all the gossip and tea regarding the Kandi Burruss lesbian rumors, we assume you've been living under a rock. To recap: Porsha Williams insinuated on The Real Housewives of Atlanta earlier this season that Kandi sometimes takes dips in the lady pond. The rumors spread from there, and Kandi was confronted with them on the glamping trip, faced off with Porsha about it over lunch, revealed that Porsha kissed her, and then showed off the receipts of that hookup during the trip to Hawaii.

The Real Gay Panic of 'The Real Housewives'

In a episode of Sex and the City entitled &#;Boy, Girl, Boy, Girl &#;&#;, sex-negative sex columnist Carrie Bradshaw squirmed with discomfort at the idea of kissing a character played by Alanis Morisette during a game of spin the bottle at a party. Carrie was dating website Mark, a bisexual bloke, and was spiraling about it, replete with such quips as &#;bisexuality is just a layover to gay town.&#; Carrie goes through with the peck, but pecking Alanis on the lips is an experience so destabilizing to her stridently heteronormative reality that she quickly leaves the party and her relationship with Mark, concluding that that was not for her. To be clear, I&#;m not sneering at Carrie realizing her boundaries and minding them, I&#;m sneering at the queasy display the reveal frames this moment in, as if there&#;s a fundamental wrongness to bisexuality.

Through Carrie&#;s snide layover comment, we&#;re led to believe bisexuality isn&#;t genuine and we&#;re presented with a very binary view of sexuality as a comforting thing. Being drolly dismissive o
