Who We Are

The LGBT Bar Association of Greater New York (LeGaL) operates various legal services including a weekly walk-in legal clinic at the LGBT Community Center ( W. 13th St.) in Manhattan each Tuesday evening (excluding holidays) from p.m. No appointment is necessary, but visitors should enter prior to p.m. to have a greater likelihood of being seen. Visitors will receive a consultation with a volunteer attorney who can provide general information, consultation and counsel, referrals when possible, but not direct legal representation. The clinic is free, but visitors are encouraged, if possible, to provide a donation to support the clinic's continued operation. For more facts on clinics vist

Our Award Winners were: Matthew McTygue, Elyse Cherry, Tre'Andre Valentine, and Bill Keating. Our Law Student Chapter of the Year was Northeastern University School of Statute. Our Alec Gray, Jr. Scholarship was awarded to Gordon Chan, a rising 3L at Boston University School of Law.
