The LGBTQ+ rights movement has made tremendous strides over the past few decades and much of the progress in visibility is thanks in part to gay pride parades and marches that have taken place in cities around the world.

The global landscape for Homosexual rights, protections and acceptance varies tremendously by location, with some destinations attracting millions of visitors to their events like Madrid Male lover Pride, Sao Paulo Gay Pride or San Francisco Queer Pride, while more than 70 other countries have laws that allow discrimin

The annual San Diego Self-acceptance Parade is the largest single-day civic event in the region and is among the largest Prides in the United States, attracting over , people.

When is the Manchester Pride Parade?+

The Manchester Pride Parade will get place on Saturday 23rd August and starts at Midday.

Where does the Parade take place?+

The Celebration weaves it way through Manchester City Centre in an amazing display of protest. At this stage, we are unable to distribute the Parade route.

How long is the Parade?+

The Parade kicks off at midday and usually runs all afternoon, the first floats will finish after approximately 90 minutes.

Love has long been a source of strength and resilience for LGBTQ+ people. In the face of historical and continuing discrimination, love has helped lgbtq+ people have the courage to be themselves.

Discrimination towards LGBTQ+ people still exists and the battle for full equality continues. At Manchester Pride , we observe the power of love to overcome these obstacles and assemble a future where everyone is free to love and dwell authentically.
